Nellore: District In-charge Minister and Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy said that the ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ would be organised in Nellore on November 10.
He participated in the district coordination committee meeting at party office here on Saturday and said venue would be finalised shortly.
Voter enrolment and other issues were discussed during the meeting, he said. He stated party membership drive will begin from November 1.
The Minister assured farmers of protecting the standing crops by allocating water as district received 57 per cent deficit rainfall.
The state government has decided to provide 3 lakh fresh ration cards across the state, the Minister said, adding CJFS land holders would be given assignment pattas as per decision of the state government shortly and there would be focus on dotted land issue by liberalising the norms through a GO verifying modalities in other states.
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that the Outer Ring Road (ORR) has been proposed for city and tenders were called for design and DPR works would start as soon as the design is finalised.
He said the Chief Minister clarified during Collector’s conference that there are some technical problems for giving ownership to people having dotted lands and there is a need for amendment to the Act.
The Chief Minister would take a decision on the issue after discussing with officials concerned in the next four days, the Minister said.
Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy stated there were 91,000 houses sanctioned for areas falling under the limits of the NUDA and 71,000 houses under affordable housing to other parts of the district.
