School students asked to emulate Pandit Nehru

Kakinada: Former minister and local bodies MLC Chikkala Ramachandra  Rao called upon the schoolchildren to emulate the  ideals of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Participating as chief gust at Children’s  Day celebrations in Sadhana Public School  here on Wednesday, the former minister paid floral tributes to  Nehru and lighted the lamp as mark of inauguration of  Children’s Day celebrations.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that by emulating the ideals of Pundit Nehru, the first prime minister of the country, the children would groom to be good and responsible citizens of this country. The MLC also wished the children to reach greater heights in life.

Chikkala distributed mementos to the winners in various competitions conducted on this occasion.

Correspondent of the school SV Madhava Rao proposed a vote of thanks.
Parents of schoolchildren participated in large numbers.
