Valuables worth 40 lakh stolen from passenger

Nellore: A passenger from Hyderabad to Chennai had lost valuables worth Rs 40 lakh at Sullurpet town on Friday. According to police, Madhukar from Hyderabad was travelling to Chennai on a private travel service and the bus stopped at Andhra Mess in Sullurpet town around 10 am.

He alighted the bus and entered the hotel for breakfast. He left his laptop bag inside the bus where he had reportedly kept Rs 2 lakh cash and 1.5 kg gold inside it. He completed his breakfast and found that the bag that contained valuables was missing.

He lodged a complaint with the local police on the incident and DSP VS Rambabu and others visited the spot and interacted with Madhukar. They registered a case and investigation is on.
