Call to educate people on medication
Guntur: The 57th National Pharmacy Week was celebrated at Vignan Pharmacy College at Vadlamudi in Guntur district on Monday.
AP Pharmacy Council registrar N Sri Rama Murthy inaugurated the meeting and spoke on 'Pharmacists for Healthy India’.
He said that there was need to educate society on medication and precautions to be taken while using medicines and urged the pharmacists to take up this responsibility. He urged the students to participate in community service projects.
Vignan Pharmacy College principal M Srinivasa Babu said that pharmacists play major role in achieving healthy India. Ramesh Hospital, Guntur conducted wellness camp on the occasion.
Earlier, the students took out a rally from the college to Vadlamudi.
Vignan Group chairman Dr Lavu Rathaiah and college lecturers were among those present.
