Shocking all, Andhra Pradesh government withdrew the cases registered in connection with the destroying of crops during the land acquisition in the new capital Amravati.
There were serious allegations that some government functioneers set ablaze the crops in the lands owned by farmers who opposed land acquisition.
Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that cases were withdrawn on the pretext that no valid evidences to arrest the accused found in the investigation. The government move was an unilateral decision without taking into consideration the farmers demand to arrest the responsible. It was also proved the TDP allegation that YSR Congress was behind the incident false.
