Chandrababu Naidu visit brought rain for Nellore: Somireddy

Nellore: Agriculture Minister S Chandramohan Reddy said the district is fortunate as it had started receiving good rains as soon as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu landed here on Tuesday in connection with Dharma Porata Deeksha. He formally inaugurated junior college building at Manubolu on Thursday constructed at a cost of Rs 1.85 crore.

He also inaugurated a flyover constructed with Rs 47 Lakh at Kommalapudi in Manubolu. He said district population are lucky enough this time as they were getting good rains for farming activity. The district administration was worried about providing water to 3.21 lakh acres but the rains gave them relief.

The Minister said they had handed over more than 5,000 motors at a subsidy of Rs 15,000 and oil engines were provided at 50 per cent subsidy. He made an appeal to farmers to utilise benefits being provided by the State government. He said that the Chief Minister has been showing more focus on education sector, who has been holding review meetings for every 15 days.

Somireddy stated the Chief Minister was kind enough to implement minimum time scale and job security for the contract teachers. He mentioned the state is having a great Chief Minister, who always thinks about welfare of the people.
