Will make Amaravati tourist hub: Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Amaravati would be developed as an international tourist hub. He said Andhra Pradesh has vast potential for tourism development.
Addressing the gathering at the valedictory programme of the three-day Amaravati Air Show-2018 at Punnamii Ghat here on Sunday, the Chief Minister said AP is ahead of other states in tourism development, happiness index, ease of doing business and GSDP.
Naidu said that he had wondered how it would have been had he been a pilot while he was watching the air show. The government would continuously organize various programmes to make people of Amaravati happy.
The Chief Minister said Amaravati has already turned into a hub for international events. He said that Amaravati is more suitable for organizing air shows and Amaravati Air Show was organised successfully providing feast to the eyes of lakhs of people.
He said social media awards function was organized first and was followed by Formula I H2O boat race in which Abu Dhabi bagged the award. Amaravati team also won award in the boat race. He said efforts are on to get international recognition for Andhra Pradesh by conducting international events.
The Chief Minister said the tourism sector would generate more employment opportunities in the state. He said with the development of the tourism sector, the hotel industry and service sector will also be developed.
