Stone laid for water treatment plant

Eluru: A water treatment plant with an estimated cost of Rs 20 lakh will be coming up at Kalavapudi village of Kalla mandal in West Godavari district.

Undi MLA V Sivarama Raju laid foundation stone for the plant on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government was taking all measures to provide safe water in all villages of his constituency. 

So far, the government allotted Rs 101 crore for development activities in his constituency. He informed that trial run for water pipeline from River Godavari between Parimilla Laku and Javvalapalem would be conducted during this month.

He informed that Kalavapudi village would be developed as model village by providing all infrastructure facilities, he added.
