Seven members accused in rape case arrested

Ongole: Markapuram DSP Ramanjaneyulu  said that seven accused in the rape of a minor girl were arrested.  He was speaking at press conference at the local police station at Markapuram on Monday. 

Based on the complaint of the minor girl, the case was filed against nine persons under Pocso act, he said. Seven persons were arrested on Monday and two were absconding, he said. 

As per details, a minor girl aged 17 was raped by an exserviceman 11 months ago and was threatened not disclose the matter. 

Later, his friends also raped her. Threatened repeated by them, she disclosed the matter to her brother who filed the case against the accused. 

Police arrested the accused and send them to remand.
