Assets under Adarana distributed in kakinada
Kakinada: Collector Karthikeya Misra has said that the government is very much particular to enhance the economic base of all in the state and executing many welfare schemes in this regard.
Participating in Adarana-2 programme held here on Thursday, he said so far Rs 250 crore worth of assets were given to the beneficiaries under Adarana 1 and 2 schemes and as many as 15,938 eligible persons were benefitted.
In the first phase, Rs 300 crore worth of assets were distributed through Kapu, BC, SC, ST and Minority corporations. Meanwhile, BC beneficiaries were given tool kits under Adarana programme.
Urban MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao said Rs 17.21 crore worth of assets were given to 933 beneficiaries in the city on Thursday. The government paid 90 percent and the beneficiaries paid 10 percent to the kits.
The government wanted to help the beneficiaries to enhance their living standard, he said and asked them to avail the schemes judiciously.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner K Ramesh, Mayor Sunkara Pavani and others were present.
