Collector B Lakshmikantham participates in Nagara Darshini

Vijayawada: District Collector B Lakshmikantham said that all eligible people would be sanctioned pensions and pucca houses. 

He participated as chief guest at Nagara Darshini programme in 44th ward of Vijayawada Municipal corporation here on Thursday. 

Addressing the media, he said that so far Rs 5.8 crore works were taken up in the ward and another Rs 28 lakh works were in progress. Many schemes were rolled out with an aim to secure a minimum income of Rs 10,000 per month to downtrodden families.

He said loans were extended to eligible SC / ST beneficiaries under ‘Success against Poverty’ scheme and advised the pregnant women to take nutritious food supplements with periodic medical check-ups.
