VIIT organises photography workshop
Visakhapatnam: Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (Autonomous) organised a workshop on ‘Photography’ on Saturday. Noted photographer S Ganapathi Rao has participated in the inauguration of Workshop as chief guest and acted as resource person for the workshop.
On this occasion, he said that there was no importance for the machine (camera) but man behind the machine was very important for a good photography.
He also highlighted that background, lighting, lens quality and expertise of photographer would play important role in getting a good quality photo. He also said that photos speak about our history and emotions.
He also added that many engineering students who go for higher studies in other countries are opting photography as a part-time career.
S Ganapathi Rao, chief guest, Dr V Madhusudhan Rao, rector, Dr B Arundathi, Principal and Dr K Madhusudhana Rao, dean formally inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp.
Rector spoke to the students and said that photography was a special art and one of the very good hobbies.
He also said that a photo could be adjudged as a good quality photo if it reflects realistic situation.
As part of the workshop, a special photo exhibition was conducted and it attracted the visitors as most of the photos reflect the tribal life style.
Around 200 students participated in the workshop and learned new techniques in photography.
Dr G Kranthi Kumar, NSS Programme Officer and Dr B Prasad, HoD-CSE were present in the workshop.
