Delhi Public School Celebrates 12th Annual Day in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Prof S Ramakrishna Rao, vice-chancellor of Krishna University said that one should be grateful for being born in India. He said that it was high time the culture of Guru- Shishya Parampara brought back again.
Addressing the huge gathering at the 12th Annual Day celebrations at Delhi Public School here on Saturday, chief guest of the occasion Ramakrishna Rao said learn and learn, till you have the expertise on particular thing.
"Be a prince to your parents, teachers and elders and feel the social responsibility to do something to the nation with truth as weapon," he added.
Guest of honour, Saritha KGV, Additional SP, (CID), in-charge SP of the Women Protection Cell, appealed to all parents that they should not consider their children as their property but their responsibility.
She advised the management of the school to enlighten the children about cyber ethics. She reiterated her watch words. 'Dare to Dream and 'Strive to achieve.'
G Mala, principal, presented a brief annual report of the achievements of the school.
The guests presented the awards to the students for their performance in dance, academic excellence, cash awards for outstanding achievements in sports and games, Toppers in Class X and XII Board Examination 2017-18, Best House of the Year, and the Best Outgoing Student of the Year awards were also distributed on the occasion.
Later the cultural programmes enthralled the audience with a variety of dances which include Western, Classical, Medley, Fusion and Bhangra.
