Potential linked credit plan for EG released

Kakinada: Collector Karthikeya Mishra on Thursday released the potential linked credit plan (PLP) of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) with total projections to the tune of Rs 19,918 crore for financial year 2019-20.

At the bankers consultative committee (BCC) meeting organised at Collectorate, the collector said a lion share of Rs 13,238 crore was allocated for agriculture, Rs 3,698 crore for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Rs 190 crore for social infrastructure, Rs 1,049 crore for housing and Rs 722 crore for export credit. Another important sector, education got Rs 290 crore, Rs 21 crore allocated for renewable energy and Rs 707 crore for other sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Kartikeya Mishra complimented the bankers for liberally sanctioning loans for SC/ST beneficiaries. He suggested AP Handlooms department to ensure implementation of schemes to the weavers in the district.

MLC Somu Veeraju, Pithapuram MLA SVSN Varma, JC A Mallikarjuna, JC-2 Ch Sattibabu, Andhra Bank DGM KSV Rammohana Rao, RBI AGM Usha Rani, NABARD AGM Dr KVS Prasad, SBI RM Raja Rammohan Rao and LDM BV Subrahmanyam were present.
