Police crack boy’s abduction case in 48 hours

Tirupati: In a commendable job, Tirupati urban police on Sunday succeeded in rescuing the Maharashtra boy Veeresh abducted in Tirumala two days back. 

The elaborate and meticulous operation coupled with the TTD vigilance and security department lending the much needed support by providing the CCTV footages revealed the movement of the accused and ultimately saw the Tirupati police special team apprehending the kidnapper to free the boy from his clutches in Nanded, Maharashtra.

Sources said the Maharashtra police also lent full support in helping the Tirupati police team who went to Maharashtra in search of the boy tracking down the culprit to bring an end to the 48-hour high drama of the kidnap case and to bring cheer to the emotionally upset parents Prasanth Ji Javed and his wife Sneha anxiously waiting for their beloved child since the day of his abduction on Friday.

When contacted, Tirupati Urban SP KKV Anburajan said that the kidnapper was identified as 45-year-old Balaji Krushma and added that the other details of the case will be revealed on Monday after the accused and rescued toddler are brought back here by the special party from Nanded.

Taking the case as a challenge, the SP set up six teams comprising police officials and sent them to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu Maharashtra and also other towns in the State including Nellore and Guntakal to track down the kidnapper, after obtaining vital clues from CCTV footages obtained from the CC cameras installed at Tirumala, Tirupati and also railway junction Renigunta near here.

It is needless to say that the abduction of the boy from the famous pilgrim centre Tirumala created flutter nationwide mounting pressure on the police. TTD chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav congratulated Tirupati urban police for rescuing the kidnapped boy Veeresh.

He appreciated Tirupati Urban SP Anburajan, TTD Chief Security and Vigilance Officer Gopinath Jetti and other officials and their men for tirelessly working to rescue the boy. Gopinath advised the parents with infants, to be more cautious while in Tirumala, which is always crowded with pilgrims.

It may be recalled that the toddler was abducted when he was asleep along with his parents Prasanth and Sneha who were forced to take shelter for the night on Thursday in the Mandapam opposite Madhavam queue complete after they failed to get a room provided by the TTD to pilgrims.
