Vijayawada:  Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy took strong objection to the harsh comments made by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao against his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday. Addressing a media conference at the Praja Vedika at Undavalli in Guntur, Chandramohan Reddy said the language used by Chandrashekar Rao  against Naidu was not good and of low standard.

He lashed out at the Telangana Chief Minister saying that he had no right to criticise Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Chandrashekar Rao will not be considered as a big leader as he won the elections with false promises. He questioned why he did not make a Dalit leader as Chief Minister of Telangana as was promised by him. He questioned the TS Chief Minister whether he got any licence to speak anything against any person because he is a Chief Minister. He reminded that K Chandrashekar Rao had worked as a minister in the cabinet of Chandrababu Naidu. He said Chandrababu Naidu is a senior leader with nine years’ experience as Chief Minister. Chandrashekar Rao should not have used such low standard language against a leader who had worked as Chief Minister twice, Somireddy stated.

Referring to the High Court issue, Somireddy said the Andhra Pradesh government had asked one month time for completion of the High Court building at Amaravati and questioned what was wrong in it. He said Andhra Pradesh ranks first in the country in all sectors and there was no need to copy or imitate the policies and schemes of any other State. He made these comments in response to the remarks made by Chandrashekar Rao that Andhra Pradesh government had copied the industrial policy of Telangana. Chandramohan Reddy reminded that TRS leader and Minister Harish Rao had opposed the granting of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. In support of his comments, the minister displayed some video clippings.

Minister for Information and Public Relations KalvaSrinivasulu also condemned the remarks made by Chandrashekar Rao. He said Rao should not have used such low standard language against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Meanwhile, activists of various organisations have assembled at Lenin Centre here in the night and burnt photos and pictures of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao protesting against the outrageous remarks made against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They warned Chandrashekar Rao for using derogatory language against Chandrababu Naidu.
