Rajya Sabha MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy thanks Gadkari for sanctioning flyover

Nellore: Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy has stressed on the need for flyover at Golagamudi junction on the National Highway (NH) where hundreds of people, who cross the road, are facing dangerous situation with speeding vehicles.   

Reddy met the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Chairman of NHAI Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Monday and explained the conditions in the city and discussed on the need for flyovers to be constructed for safety of commuters and people. 

He said even though there was a proposal to construct a flyover at the junction the NHAI authorities were neglecting the issue leaving the people to their fate. 

He said that there is an engineering college and around 10,000 people of nearby areas cross the highway at the junction. He also demanded for another flyover at Chintareddy Palem where huge traffic bothers for crossing the highway. 

The MP earlier raised these issues in the House too. Minister Gadkari responded that they had already planned to construct a flyover at Golagamudi Junction immediately and estimates were also prepared. 

The Union Minister assured of constructing flyover at Chintareddy Palem junction. The MP expressed his gratitude for sanctioning the flyover at Golagamudi junction.
