AP NGO president Ashok Babu took VRS to enter into politics
Amaravati: AP NGO's Association president and Employees JAC chairman Ashok Babu took voluntary retirement to his job on 10th January (Thursday). He joined the Commercial Taxes Department in 1977 as a junior assistant and retired as Assistant Commercial Tax Officer.
Though his retirement was due in April, but with the intention of joining politics he took this decision. Earlier AP CM Chandrababu Naidu invited him to join the politics.
In March, 5 MLCs posts are going to be vacant under MLAs quota, So it's heard that Babu may get MLC seat.
With his VRS, NGO president and Employees JAC chairman posts have become vacant. At present Chandrasekhar Reddy, who is also the General Secretary to NGOs society in handling the two posts. Employees organization members facilitated Ashok Babu on Thursday.
During Samaikya Andhra movement, as AP NGOs president Ashok Babu played a very crucial role. After the state bifurcation, when TDP government was formed he became closer to CM Chandrababu Naidu and took initiation in solving the employee's related issues. As a president, he was able to get 43 percent fitment, 5 days working job offer for the employees who shifted from Hyderabad.
