Quota in Economically Backward Class for Kapus opposed

Tirupati: Tirupati Brahmana Samajam (TBS) urged the AP Government to implement the Economically Backward Class (EBC) 10 percent reservation without any changes.

The TBS at its city executive committee emergency meeting held here this evening strongly condemned the State cabinet decision to earmark 5 per cent in the EBC reservation to Kapu community on the ground that it is against Constitution.

The meet presided by its president Bhimas Raghu felt that the government decision will create strife among the castes ultimately lead to bitter fight among the communities on caste line which is not desirable for the wellbeing of the society.
