Guntur is number one in citizen satisfaction and implementing government’s flagship programmes and Kurnool is lowest and the second lowest is Visakhapatnam, chief minister revealed.

Egg supply was not good which resettled in dissatisfaction in implementing the flagship programmes like Balamrutham and Anganwadi, revealed the Kurnool district collector Satyanarayana.

There are no proper guidelines came from the authorities so far to strengthen the Egg supply, he added. He said that at present government is providing Rs 4.65 per egg for which no owner is coming forward. We have to give one or two percent hike in Neck Rate instead of fixing other rates, he said. This is new practice, which was replaced by the previous one based on the Neck Rate, he added.

Reacting on it, Chandrababu Naidu directed to put the Neck Rate as basic price and go for the procurement. Chandrababu Naidu observed that whenever the price is lower in the market than the price we offering, then the supplier is providing and whenever he feels our price is higher than the market price, then the supplier is not supplying. To avoid this, we should take the Neck Rate as base, he explained.

When the officials concerned explained that they have introduced new system with new conditions, Chandrababu Naidu reacted that there was no need to reinvent something to replace the best existing practice. He asked them to simply the conditions and focus on accountability and efficiency.

He directed the authorities including Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha to formulate strong policy to implement it effectively and hassle free.
