Work hard to reach higher goals: Info Commissioner to students
Nellore: Andhra Pradesh State Information Commissioner and retired IPS Officer BV Ramana Kumar, who had earlier started CAP (Child and Police) project in the district, visited the facility in the city along with District Judge G Venkata Krishnaiah, Collector R Mutyala Raju and Superintendent of Police Aishwarya Rastogi. He interacted with the children and their parents in the area.
Ramana Kumar enquired the inmates about living conditions in the area. Further, he inspected the CAP school building. District Judge G Venkata Krishnaiah appreciated efforts of Ramana Kumar for starting the Child and Police project in Nellore and he appealed to the children to work hard for reaching higher positions in the life.
Collector R Mutyala Raju said that children have to set their goals and have to put their sincere efforts to achieve them. Retired IPS Officer Ramana Kumar would feel very happy if children in the CAP comes up in the life, said the Collector. SP Aishwarya Rastogi said that they would provide facilities to the children of the school.
BV Ramana Kumar said that they had explained about the project to M Ferraro, a social activist from France earlier and sought funds for construction of houses for the families of the children. He said that they had sanctioned pattas to 254 houses and started construction with Rs.10 crore. He stated that the construction of 120 houses has been completed. He thanked the district administration for supporting the project. Additional SP (Admin) P Parameswar Reddy, City DSP NBM Murali Krishna and others were present.
