Work hard for promoting Urdu language: AK Khan

Hyderabad: A K Khan Advisor to the government, Minorities Welfare said that heavy responsibilities lie on the newly appointed Urdu officers for promotion and development of Urdu language in the state; therefore, they should work hard with devotion and dedication, wherever they were posted. 

Speaking at the inauguration of one week training programme for newly appointed Urdu officers at Dr Marri Channa Reddy Institute here on Monday, he exhorted the need for improving expertise in the skills and said that they should have to lead the community and guide them. He said that the State government was determined for overall development of the Urdu language. He said that the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has recently announced to conduct examination in Urdu language also. Shahnawaz Qasim Director Minorities Welfare said that language experts would be in great demand in the days to come and learning of different languages would win heart. He advised the newly selected Urdu officers to function responsibly.

Director Secretary Telangana State Urdu Academy said that it was a big step of the government towards development of Urdu language in the state. After a week training they would be taken around 13 different departments of Minorities Welfare, he said and added that those officers were appointed in the offices of Ministers and district Collectors besides CS and DGP office. Shaik Mohammed Nabi Director Marri Channa Reddy Institute said that it was for the first time that direct recruitment was made for officers in the rank of office superintendent rank. Prof S A Shukoor Director Telangana State Urdu Academy, Ravula Padmavati was present.
