Parchuru: The meeting of Daggubati Venkateswara Rao and his son Hitesh Chenchuram with the YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy ignited heartburn in a faction of that party at Parchuru.

The supporters of the YSRCP in-charge for Parchuru Ravi Ramanatham Babu held a meeting at Parchuru on Monday to show their strength and demand the high command to give the Assembly constituency ticket to the existing leader only.

The supporters of Ravi Ramanatham Babu held an emergency meeting at the Rotary Bhavan in Parchuru on Monday with the key leaders and supporters in the constituency.

They announced that they cannot accept the leadership of people joining the party for their instant political gain.

They lashed out at the Daggubati family for keeping their family members in different political parties. They said that while Venkateswara Rao was in Congress, Purandheswari was in the BJP and now, their son demanding a YSRCP ticket to contest from  Parchuru Assembly constituency.

They warned the party leadership not try to bring a split in the cadre by giving the ticket to someone just returning from other countries, neglecting the hard work done by the Ramanatham Babu.

The YSRCP is  facing similar trouble from groups in the cadre at Giddalur and Kondapi as the leadership admitted people from other parties and giving them tickets to contest in the place of leaders who built the cadre.

A section of the cadre at Giddalur is against the party offering ticket to the recently joined Anna Ram Babu, in the place of local senior leaders IV Reddy or Pidatala Sai Kalpana Reddy.

A similar situation can be also observed in Kondapi as the cadre is split between the present in-charge Dr Madasu Venkaiah and the former in-charge Varikuti Ashok Babu.
