K E Krishna Murthy leaves Cabinet meet midway

Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister and revenue minister K E Krishna Murthy quit from the Cabinet meeting abruptly to express his displeasure on different issues on Thursday. He also decided not to attend the Assembly session on Friday.

There are said to be many reasons for his disappointment. They include sudden entry of Congress leader Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy’s family into the party in the district, delay in appointing the board members of Srisailam temple, negligence on the part of TTD officials in inviting to the ground breaking ceremony of Sri Venkateswara Temple in Amaravati and others.

On Thursday, the missing of his name in the invitation cards by the TTD authorities acted as a trigger for him. The sources at the Deputy Chief Minister office informed that he left the Cabinet midway as he was not feeling comfortable and he would leave to the Kurnool in the early morning without attending the Assembly on Friday.

There will be discussion on a resolution demanding the Central government to implement the AP Reorganisation Act, in Assembly and TDP leaders will wear black badges as a sign of protest as part of the state wide bandh.

Meanwhile, sources informed that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu pointed out to the TTD officials about the violation of protocol with respect to the Krishna Murthy.

“You are supposed to depute senior official to invite the Deputy CM. Or you might meet him and invite him to the programme, since he is holding the endowments portfolio also,” he told the TTD EO Anil Kumar Singha.

Meanwhile, the TTD Dy EO R Rajendrudu said that he personally met and invited the Dy CM for the programme. It is learnt that the Dy CM was upset over sending of junior official for inviting him.

On the other hand, the TTD authorities have been claiming that they did not have the practice of printing all the politicians names in the invitation cards and hence they thought that printing KE’s name was not that much important.
