Ride4Future crosses Ongole

 Ongole: The two-member bicycle team of Andhra Pradesh Janmabhoomi consultant to government Pradeep Karuturi and zero-based natural farming expert Amar Akbar, who started their 13-district tour in Kurnool district on January 21reached Ongole on Thursday and met District Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand and DEO VS Subbarao in their offices.

The Andhra Pradesh Janmabhoomi, under the leadership of Komati Jayaram, the special representative of Government of Andhra Pradesh to North America, has collected donations from the non-resident Telugus and provided digital classrooms to 3500 plus government schools, infrastructure to 100 Anganwadi centers and offered facelift to 100 burial grounds.

The duo embarked on bicycles to promote zero-based natural farming and document the experiences of students and staff of the government schools that received digital classrooms from NRI donors from Kurnool to Srikakulam districts.

They will pedal for nearly 2000 kilometers during their journey from January 21 to February 10. They are visiting those government schools on their way and interacting with the students, who are offering a warm welcome to them and listening to their experiences of interactive education in digital classrooms.

On Thursday, the team entered Prakasam district and visited the high schools at Tangutur, Naguluppalapadu, and Inkollu to cross the 900 kilometers mark on the route map. On the way at Ongole, the team met the DEO Subbarao and Collector Vinay Chand, MLC Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy who appreciated their work and offered a lot of encouragement.

The duo announced that they were receiving tremendous response from the school children for the digital classrooms, and from the farmers who were asking questions on zero-based natural farming. They thanked the government administration for the encouragement and the school education department for the warm welcome throughout the tour.

They said that the #Ride4Future will take suggestions from the public and identify areas where the public can become partners in the development of Andhra Pradesh.
