200 crore sanctioned for Kotipalli to Narsapuram railway line
Amalapuram: MP Pandula Ravindra Babu has said that the Central government sanctioned an amount of Rs 200 crore for the railway line between Kotipalli and Narsapuram and during the last four years an amount of Rs 1,030 crore was sanctioned to the railway line.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he said as many as three bridges will be constructed for the railway line between Kotipalli and Mukteswaram and the remaining two bridges at Bodasakurru and Narasapur.
It was estimated that an amount of Rs 670 crore required for the construction of the bridges and the construction works of bridge between Bodasakurru and Narsapur commenced shortly and the construction works of Kotipalli- Mukteswaram bridge were under progress.
Tenders were invited for the construction of railway station in the town. The tenders will be finalized shortly, the MP averred.
The entire Konaseema area will be changed after completion of railway line, he said.
Municipal chairman Y Naga Satish was present.
