SFI, DYFI protest over PM visit in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Students Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation (DYFI) on Friday jointly organised a programme raising slogans ‘Modi Go Back’ at Y Junction here, to register their protest against proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to state on Sunday.

SFI and DYFI leaders said Prime Minister Narendra Modi cheated the people of the state by not fulfilling the assurances including Special Category Status to the state. 

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh assured to accord Special Category Status in the Parliament but the BJP which came to power later ignored the assurance. 

The BJP government not even sanctioned railway zone at Visakhapatnam, steel plant at Kadapa and national institutions. The people will teach a lesson to BJP in the ensuing elections, they added.

SFI and DYFI leaders B Raju Lova, Ashok, Rajesh, Visalakshi and others were present.
