Strive to succeed in life, girls told in Eluru
Eluru: AP State Women Commission chairperson N Rajakumari has called upon the girls to work hard to come up in life.
Addressing a national seminar on ‘Empowerment of Women, Recent Trends and Challenges’ here on Friday, she said that women were second to none and they have been competing with men in every field for decades.
It was a misconception to say that women cannot fit in some fields and it was high time that women strive to prove their mettle on par with men, she added.
She advised the girls to study well and scale new heights by setting up goals aiming high.
Their parents, irrespective of their social status had been encouraging them to study with the hope that they would bring name and fame to their family and reach top position in society.
It is their responsibility to make their parents’ dream into a reality, she said.
Stating that social media and television have been diverting the youth from their goals, she advised them not to be carried away by their evil influence.
Collector Praveen Kumar’s spouse Sobhana and others also spoke.
