Conduct polls as per EC norms , Collector tells officials

 Kakinada:  East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra asked the stakeholder departments to work in coordination for the smooth conduct of general elections during this year.

Participating in a review meeting with the Revenue Department and Police officials at the district collectorate here on Sunday, the Collector said that the elections should be conducted as per the guidelines of Election Commission without any small deviations.

The Collector on this occasion asked the authorities to print the election map of the three Lok Sabha constituencies in one colour and the Assembly constituencies in a different colour.   There are 40.13 lakh voters and 4680 polling  booths in the  district in all 64 mandals, he informed.

Kartikeya Mishra directed the concerned to arrange for drinking water, toilet and ramps for differently-abled for smooth conduct of elections in all polling booths in the district.

East Godavari SP Vishal  Gunni,  Rajamahendravaram ubran district SP Shimoshi Bajpai, Joint Collector  A Mallikarjuna and other officials participated.
