Excise dept told to be alert on complaints in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: The complaints of the public regarding the Prohibition and Excise Department should be enquired and the report should be made available to them, said P&E Commissioner, Mukesh Kumar Meena.
Addressing the officers on Tuesday relating to the complaints of the public and the complaint cell duties at the state office, the Commissioner told the staff to be alert for the forthcoming elections.
He said that time was precious and the complaints during this elections were very important. "They should solve them by taking action immediately," he added.
He said that the department decided to appoint a full-time officer to follow-up until their clearance of the complaints.
He ordered the officers to utilise the updated technology and to inform every day reports to the commissionarate. Every complaint would have a time limit and any complaint must be cleared within 48 hours of time, he instructed the officers.
He also asked the officers to prepare reports on belt shops, raids on illicit liquor dens. The working schedule of the Mobile Parties in the form of the Election Commission format. He said that the complete report on the crime should be prepared with the variations between the districts.
