Vizag to host Andhra Food Festival from March 1
Visakhapatnam: The Port City is hosting a three-day mega food festival from March 1. Elixir in association with AP Tourism, AP Telugu Language, Culture and Freedom Oils will organise the Andhra Food Festival at spacious A S Raja grounds in MVP Colony. Briefing the mega event to media here on Tuesday, Regional Director of Spartans Group M Jyothirmayi said that over 100 food courts would serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Telugu branded dishes during the event.
The entire 30,000 sft ground would be centrally air-conditioned and serve lunch and dinners, she said. The special and area wise branded dishes including Rayalaseema Ruchulu, Godavari districts specially stuffed items, Krishna and Guntur mark mouthwatering dishes would be served during the event, she said and added that not only just food festival, all the Andhra Branded powders and pickles would also be placed in the event.
“The event is set to showcase the “Taste of Andhra” that brings together all the famous dishes of state to one common platform. The event is set to make a signature mark in the city of Visakhapatnam and will be hosted annually. Carrying the tagline “Annam Anandam Andhra Pradesh” the event will be a feast to food lovers of Visakhapatnam,” Jyothirmayi said. During the evenings, some cultural programmes also be performed. The festival will open from 11 am and will be closed at 10 pm every day.
