Participating as chief guest, AIDWA Vice-President Punyavathi slammed the governments for not protecting the women rights. She termed enacting laws related to women protection as an eye wash.

The AIDWA leader stressed on the need for incorporating syllabus related to honouring women and elders in the society. Except Left parties, no political party is showing interest to pass a bill in the Parliament to provide 33 per cent quota for women in politics. UTF leader Devarala Nirmala, SFI district Secretary M Krishna, AIDWA district secretary Sai Lakshmi and varsity girl students took part in the seminar.
