Mytri 2k19 begins at GIET in Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: The two-day Mytri 2k19, a sports and cultural fest commenced at Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) here on Friday, in which hundreds of students from various parts of the state participated.
GIET is conducting the fest for the past one decade in January continuously and this year in March.
Addressing the students, Jawahalal Nehru Technological University-Kakinada (JNTU-K) registrar Dr VV Subba Rao said that Mytri is the right forum to tap the hidden talents of the students and advised the students to participate in the programmes regularly.
This type of fests also helps to exchange views between the students on various topics which helps them a lot in future and congratulated GIET management for conducting the fest continuously. The fest helps to the students to prove their mettle in sports and cultural programmes, he added.
GIET managing director K Sasi Kiran Varma said the management is encouraging the students in all fields from its inception. He asked the students to participate in the fest to prove their stamina and said this type of fests also helps to enhance the creativity and competitive spirit.
GIET executive director K Lakshmi Sasi Varma hoisted the flag. GIET general manager Dr P Subba Rao, college Principal Dr Prasad, and many others were present.
