Update: 2019-03-07 05:55 IST

Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao demanded that the Election Commission conduct an inquiry on YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s claim that he had directed his party activists to delete names of voters from list.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, the Minister pointed out that Jagan had openly admitted that he had asked the party workers to submit Form-7 to remove names of some voters from voters list.

He said that already the TDP complained to the Election Commission against Jaganmohan Reddy and YSR Congress. He regretted that Jagan was adopting wrong practices to win elections.

He alleged that Jagan was acting in collusion with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The three leaders were creating hurdles to development in Andhra Pradesh and were jealous of the development taking place and welfare schemes being implemented in the State, he said.

The Minister alleged that the Telangana Chief Minister deleted 24 lakh votes in Telangana to win the elections. Jagan and KCR want to implement the same election plan in AP too, he said.
