Rana mulling a Vampire movie?

Update: 2018-03-15 07:07 IST

Undeniably, hotshot Rana Daggubatti is in a mood to experiment these days. After doing a fantasy film 'Bahubali,', he returned as a ruthless politician in 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri.' Earlier to that, he was seen as an upright naval officer in ‘Ghazi.’

Now, he is all set to explore a new genre altogether- a Vampire kind of ghost story- with  new-age director Milind Rau who made a highly-acclaimed horror flick 'Gruham,'.  In fact, Rana was impressed by Milind's  work and had a couple of meetings with him in the last few months.

Actually, Milind has reportedly pitched a Vampire kind of story and Rana was floored with the story idea and asked him to develop it to make it gripping and nail-biting as well.  "It will not be a cliched horror flick, rather it will raise the bar on Vampire movies made till date and give a new dimension to the genre, which is rarely explored in mainstream Telugu cinema.

There are plans to make it as a multilingual film in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil but discussions are on at the  nascent stage. It will take some time to shape up, meanwhile Milind Rau and team are fine tuning the script," adds a source from Chennai.

If the deal comes through, it will be a maiden spooky film for the 'Bahubali' star, while for Milind, it is  risky as he is  already branded as a 'horror film specialist', as he is exploring the theme back-to-back after the breath-taking 'Gruham.'
