Rana to explore black magic?

Hotshot Rana Daggupati, who is picking up different themes these days, is now planning to a do an exciting film revolving around black magic with Tamil director Milind Rau of 'Gruham' fame.

"It is true that the script touches upon the ancient practice-black magic. It will be another different and path-breaking movie from the stable of Rana," says a source, close to the unit.

This film is going to be produced by Achanta Gopinath and the shooting is planned from November. "Rana will join shooting from November after he returns from USA. He is excited about this project since he was fascinated by the multi-layered script narrated by Milind Rau," the source adds.

After essaying the role of a shrewd politician (Nene Raju Nene Mantri) and patriotic Naval officer (Ghazi), the grandson of thespian filmmaker Rama Naidu, is going to play the role of a Naxalite in his upcoming film 'Virata Parvam 1992' to give a new dimension to his happening career.

No doubt, Rana is dabbling with varied roles to keep his stocks soaring, rather than getting into the rut of stereotyped hero-centric roles. "Rana doesn't want to do regular lover boy or action-centric roles.

He is trying to carve a niche for himself by dabbling with different themes and roles with substance. Besides expanding his market across India," the source concludes.
