Simran says ‘no’ to mother roles

Update: 2018-08-24 05:30 IST

Pretty actress Simran who rocked T-town with her gorgeous looks and talent in blockbusters like ‘Maa Nannaku Pelli,’ ‘Kalisumdam Raa,’ ‘Samarasimha Reddy’ and ‘Nuvvu Vasthavani is sharing screen space with Rajinikanth in his  upcoming Tamil-Telugu big ticket untitled film. “I have no plans to do mother roles,” says the actress while about her second innings in tinsel world.

“Are there no roles, other than that of mothers for married actresses,” she asks. She cites the examples of B-town stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Khan and even Jyothika Surya down South. “They are doing some great roles that suit their age and stature, even after marriage and kids and that’s the kind of roles I am looking forward too,” she adds.

The ‘Narasimha Naidu’ actress urges filmmakers to think out-of-the-box to sketch meaty roles for married divas that justify their presence and talent. The actress had a good stint in T-town after starting with ‘Abbaiyi Gari Pelli’ to ‘John Appa Rao 40 plus’ and became a household name in united Andhra Pradesh. Probably, she believes that Telugu filmmakers will pen some female-centric movies for the 40-plus actress who has maintained her looks and physique to some extent. Let’s wait and see.
