After duds like ‘Bruce Lee’ and ‘Mister’, seasoned director Srinu Vaitla is returning with a wholesome entertainer, ‘Amar Akbar Antony.’ “It is a universal film,” said the director to the media while promoting his upcoming movie with Ravi Teja. “Ravi Teja trusts me, irrespective of my success and failure at the box office. In other words, he has enhanced my responsibility. Till date, our combination has rocked and we will spin box office magic once again,” he added. He claimed that the title was appropriate for the script.

“Frankly, this title emerged from the story and the process of ideating and developing the screenplay around this unique plot, excited me,” he informed. On shooting mostly in the USA, he added “Script demanded the location and budget and not the other way.  We shot the film in two seasons (summer and winter) of the USA, which is not a common phenomenon for a Telugu film. We are going to show New York like never before. Thanks to my producers support,” he points out.

Sharing his thoughts on Ileana’s comeback, he said, “After I penned the female lead, she is the first one who came to my mind. Ileana and I have been wanting to do a film for a long time. But it has finally happened with `AAA.’ Her character in the film is as important as the hero.” On the poor run of his last few films, he reasons “My previous box office results have no effect on me. Every new idea and movie are again a new start for me. The result of each film and success depends on the story,” he concludes.
