12 lakh ganja seized; 2 held

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri police  along with the Excise police on Friday jointly conducted route watch near Neredmet X road and detected a case of illegal possession and transportation of dry ganja. The police arrested two accused Manik Jadhav (45) and Kethavath Beer Singh and seized 78 kg dry ganja worth Rs 12 lakh, two bikes and two mobile phones from the possession of the accused. 

On enquiry, the accused revealed that they are purchasing ganja at Rs 6,000 per kg and selling the same to needy and known customers for Rs 12,000 per kg in Secunderabad areas to earn easy money. Police said efforts are on to nab the absconding accused K Shetty and Chander Jadhav, who belong to Medak.
