VJIM holds business conclave
Hyderabad: The B-School, Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) has organised a business conclave on ‘Corporate Initiatives in FMCG Marketing’. The conclave was addressed by senior executives from different sectors such as Healthcare, Dairy and Beverages who shared their innovative initiatives in FMCG Marketing.
The inaugural session was addressed by Kalisetti Naidu, CMD, Blue Water Alkaline Solutions, who spoke about the importance of pre-launch market research for ‘New Product Introduction’, through the example of Oxy 99 (a portable oxygen can retailed through medical stores). Gaurang Dixit, Branch Manager-Hyderabad, GCMMF, presented Amul’s extensive coverage of the competitive Hyderabad market for its liquid milk. Geographic micro-segmentation, followed by reach out to distributors and retailers and aggressive pricing and promotion strategies of Amul were detailed by him.
Rahul Tirumalapragada, Chief Executive, Makers of Milkshakes, while recounting his entrepreneurial journey, stressed on the need for product variants and being one steap ahed of the competition. Vipin Singh, Founder and Chief Consultant, Bridgegap Consultants, through case studies, covered topics such as Brand Extension and Competitive Differentiation. He also covered opportunities and challenges for students for a career in FMCG Marketing. The business conclave was attended by the General Secretary of Vignana Jyothi, K Harishchandra Prasad and Director, VJIM, Ch S Durga Prasad.
