Free Wi-Fi & water point in Amberpet, Golnaka
Part of Swachh Sarvekshan campaign of state government
Amberpet: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Corporator Kaleru Padma Venkatesh launched free Wi-Fi and water point on Friday as part of Swachh Sarvekshan campaign of the State government in Amberpet and Golnaka.
Net sensors to receive free WiFi on telephones have been provided to if garbage is dumped in the arranged bins. This technology has been devised by Manikanta, son of Golnaka corporator, after being attracted to Swachh Sarvekshan campaign and encouraged by his parents.
The Mayor, who made enquiries about the technology, told the function that he would hold discussions with officials to extend it to other City areas. He said such programmes were being organised to create public awareness regarding Swachh Telangana.
Rammohan stressed that Swachh Bharat was not a daily programme, but a continuous process. ‘As we take care to keep our body clean, it is also necessary to maintain our surroundings clean and green’, he observed.
