Hellen Keller Institute celebrates 33rd Annual Day

Malkajgiri:  It is rightly said that the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. The 33rd Annual Day Celebrations of the Helen Keller Institute in Neredmet has proved that no disability can come in the way of happiness that we rightfully deserve. 

Specially gifted children of the educational institute had a grand gala time as they cheered and clapped till the end of the programme adding an all-new energy to the festivities.

Chairman of the Legislative Council K Swami Goud attended the event as the Chief Guest and blessed the children with a bright future full of happiness, prosperity and health. Speaking on the occasion, Swami Goud appreciated the efforts of the institute's management for moulding the lives of several deaf and dumb students enabling them to make stronger citizens of the country. 

He said that the will of the students in the institute was so firm that many of them went on to do higher studies in other parts of the world and had excelled as business professionals. The council chairman opined that there is an immediate need of the state government to give these specially gifted children their right to live better lives and assured that he would recommend the authorities to construct a permanent building for their education to encourage many more such children to study and bring a good name for the state.
