Uppal corporator promises to take residents’ problems to GHMC notice

Uppal: Corporator Anala Hanmanth Reddy said here on Friday that local residents like Padma, Thara, Vinay, Kiran and Raju were facing hardship on account of drainage water entering their house as the open nala opposite the Uppal Main Road Sub-station is yet to be cleared of slush.  He said no action has been by officials concerned despite being told several times by the residents and himself.

Reddy pointed out that when residents tried to contact sanitation AMHO Dr Umadevi none bothered to respond to their telephone calls. Locals of several colonies like Lakshminagar, Indiranagar, Church Colony, New Shantinagar in the Tenth division were suffering because of overflowing drain and open nala and piling up of garbage/slush water.

The corporator, while expressing anguish over indifferent attitude of the official, said that he would take the problems faced by residents of these colonies as early as possible to the notice of Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and GHMC Commissioner Dr Janardhan Reddy.

Apart from several local residents, Area Committee Members Menne Sudhakar,  Ranga Bhaskar, several TRS leaders, Ad-hoc Committee Members Mekala Hanmanth Reddy,  Saraswathi, Thara, Padma, Naveen, Kiran, Vinay, Raju, Veeresham, Chetanya, Sirisha, sanitation staffer Sudarshan were present when the corporator gave the assurance.
