Westin to have in-house artists for Jukebox 2.0
In-house artists Jack & Sangtei would perform together as Jukebox 2.0 at the Westin Hyderabad Mindspace.
Jack started his music career as singer and drummer with India’s only Glam Rock band - Hazzard, which he founded in 1990. The band performed at several concerts all over India, and released the critically well received album - ‘Glam Bam Thank You M’am’in 1993 through Crescendo BMG International, on which Jack handled lead vocals, all drums and percussion, bass guitar, acoustic guitar and keyboards.
Jack went on to being a session drummer and singer with various top names in the industry, the most notable being Gary Lawyer (with whom he performed for over 12 years at more than 500 hundred shows all over India and abroad), Leslie Lewis (Leslie’s Red Hot Funk Show) and (late) NanduBhende. He has also performed with several bands, playing covers and originals of different genres of music.
Jack is a qualified sound engineer Out of sheer love and admiration for all the great music that has been composed and recorded over the years, Jack formed Jukebox 2.0 to perform cover versions of hits from various popular genres of music for all music lovers. His repertoire is unmatched, and spans over 1800 songs covering hits from the early 30’s/40’s right up to the chart hits of present day.
Sangtei Khuptong is an upcoming star in her own right, with celebrity status and a big fan following in the North East of India, where she has amazed audiences with her incredible vocals and stage presence. Ever since she burst onto the NE music scene with her powerful bluesy vocals and distinctive approach to songs, the audiences all over was instantlymesmerized by her making her the ‘first call’ artist for every important event, prior to her move to Hyderabad.
With a voice and look that is easily on par with any international artist, Sangtei usually inspires awe and surprise in any listener. Sangtei is currently working on her demo in order to break into the Mumbai music industry.
