Swachhata Pakhwada at Nuclear Fuel Complex

Hyderabad: Nuclear Fuel Complex observed Swachhata Pakhwada during February 16-28, 2018 under the guidance of Dr. R.P. Acharya, Dy. Chief Executive (Admn.).  As part of the programme, different plants and its surrounding areas were cleaned, the useful wastes were segregated and were kept in the earmarked places for their disposal.  Meanwhile, many wastes in the form of scrap were disposed and revenue was earned.

The garbage area was converted to beautiful gardens.  In order to inculcate the maintenance of the surrounding area clean and also improvising the swachhata policy in its implementation, various competitions were held. The swachhta shields were introduced and for its award, independent committee was constituted who after making a  thorough visit, recommended the prizes. 

 U.C. Muktibodh, Director (Technical), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd., Mumbai, in a function on 05.03.2018 awarded the trophies to the winning plants.  The function was graced by the Chairman & Chief Executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex Dr. Dinesh Srivastava;  M.A. Inbarasu, Joint Secretary (I&M), Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai, C.K. Asnani, CMD, UCIL; 

Dr. Madangopal Krishnan, Associate Director, Material Group BARC, Dr. (Smt.) Sadhana Mohan, Associate Director, NFG, BARC & Senior officers of NFC participated. On this occasion, tree plantation programme was organised.
