GAASA celebrates women’s day

Alwal: The Greater Alwal Allied Service Association (GAASA) with support from Golnaka Youth Club (GYC) celebrated International Women’s Day in a unique way. GAASA Organised an all women football exhibition match at Old Alwal playgrounds. 

Footballers from various schools participated and team from Telangana Sports School, Hakimpet lifted the winner’s trophy. The Zilla Parishad School of Dhulapally were the Runners-up. Alongside lady Corporators of Alwal GHMC, G Jyothi, Shanthi Srinivas Reddy and Sabitha Kishore were felicitated along with Nalini Padmavathi, Deputy Commissioner GHMC Alwal on the occasion. 

The GAASA was instrumental in developing the Old Alwal playgrounds into a football grounds for the development of sports in Old Alwal areas. Dr G V Rao, Santokh Singh, R Chandil, D Ramchandraiah, Srinivas Verma and Vara Kumar participated in the event.
