Progressive Organisation of Women take out rally

Jeedimetla: Condemning women's day celebrations by the TRS and BJP government at the State and Central levels, the Progressive Organisation of Women (POW) President Sandhya said that March 8th must be utilised as a platform to empower women. She added that it must raise a spark of revolution within the community and help them to prove their abilities in every sphere of life. 

Protesting against superficial commemoration of womanhood, the POW members held a rally in Jeedimetla. As a part of the demonstration, the organization also conducted a discussion session in front of the area Police Station. Speaking on the occasion, Sandhya said that the governments which failed in protecting the honour of women should refrain from organising festivities on the occasion of International Women's Day.
