Resolve Lambada- Adivasi row through conciliation: Haragopal

Musheerabad: Academician Prof Haragopal observed here on Wednesday that the problem involving lambadas and adivasis could be solved only when it is accepted that injustice has been done to the Lambadas, while pledging support to the Adivasi agitatation.

Addressing a round-table conference organised by the Telangana Praja Front at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, he advocated the need for getting rid of animosity that Lambadas have got more benefits and adoption of an amicable approach without resorting to attacks for finding solution to the problem. 

Prof Haragopal stated that although the Adivasis are justified in being angry with it should not make them view the other side as enemy. Both sides should strive for finding a solution by creating the right atmosphere and conciliatory approach. He advised them to resolve the issue through discussions rather than resorting to attacks. The Lambadas should concede that injustice has been done to the Adivasis and should opt for peaceful discussions for finding an ideal solution hailed by society. 

If this approach is adopted others will cooperate, Prof Haragopal stated. Among those present were CPI leader Dr Sudhakar, president of front Nalamasa Krishna, general secretary Monchu Ramesh.
