Corporator Padma Pratap Goud absence causes row
Pet Basheerabad: Legislator Vivekanand asserted here on Sunday that drinking water problems would be solved with the State government’s prestigious Mission Bhageeratha Scheme.
He launched the drinking water pipeline works in Angadipet of Jeedimetla division. Addressing the gathering, the MLA said he was striving to develop his constituency of Qutbullapur in all respects. Among those present were senior TRS leader K M Pratap Goud, Gummadi Madusudhan Reddy, Naresh, Narsimha Goud.
However, the function was mired in controversy with the Opposition resorting to criticism that the local corporator Padma Pratap Goud was absent. She is the MLA’s aunt and Pratap Goud uncle. Congress leader Gubbala Lakshminarayana questioned as to why the protocol was not followed at the event.
He wondered how such people’s representatives would be able to solve people’s problems. He said the corporator of division 131 Parijatam was the MLA’s another aunt. Yet how could her husband K N Girish Goud could tour the division and how Parijatam could ignore the protocol by bypassing the function. Lakshminarayana expressed surprise that at her neglecting people’s problems.
