Eves protest with empty pitchers in front of MPDO

They have been facing drinking water woes for the past six months, but with no solace they are now on  war path

Maheswaram:  Led by local BJP leaders, women of Jabbarguda on Tuesday demonstrated in front of the mandal parishad development office displaying empty pitchers demanding immediate solution to the drinking water problem.

They threatened not to vacate the place till their demand is met.

Residents of Jabbarguda under the limits of Timmapur panchayat of Kandukuru mandal stated in spite of supplying two tankers of water to their village was inadequate. They pointed out that they have to face drinking water problem in spite of Krishna water pipeline is running through their village. 

They anticipated compounding their woes. During the current summer officials and sarpanches should hammer out a solution to tide over drinking water crisis. Unfortunately, the same is not happening, they lamented. 

They said that they have been encountering drinking water for the past six months, but had no alternative except to trade war path.

They demanded sending six tankers of water to their village. However, they relented when the MPDO ordered the panchayat secretary to send five tankers to the village. 

BJP mandal morcha general secretary Yelagapalli Lingaiah Yadav, BJP Mandal secretary Yelagapalli Kumar Yadav and others took part in the protest programme.
